Situated only 150 metres from the Picton Ferry Terminal, the lodge overlooks the magnificent Marlborough Sounds. It is located a 2-minute walk from the town centre with its many restaurants, cafes and bars.

Picton Lodge is a comfortable, budget friendly and convenient base with easy access to buses, train and the town wharf. The lodge offers full laundry facilities, card and pay phones, internet, fax machine, and a fully equipped kitchen. Coffee, tea, sugar, and BBQ are free of use. There is also free use of blankets, mountain bikes and fishing gear.

The waters of the Marlborough Sounds are perfect for diving, kayaking, fishing, sailing, jet skiing and boating, and there are a number of excellent walking and mountain biking tracks. The area is also perfect for skydiving, golf and wine tours.

Picton Lodge is situated in Picton, Marlborough, which is at the top of the South Island in the heart of the Marlborough Sounds.
Picton Lodge Backpackers is located a two minute walk from the town centre with lots of cafes, bars and a supermarket. Handy to the Info centre, buses, train and the town wharf.
The waters of the Marlborough Sounds are perfect for diving, kayaking, fishing, sailing, jet skiing and boating.
There are a number of excellent walking and mountain biking tracks.
The area is also perfect for skydiving, golf and wine tours.

Travel information

Picton is located 27 kms from Havelock, via Queen Charlotte Drive. Turn left south of Havelock and enjoy a leisurely drive through to Picton take the first left after the roundabout travel past the BP station and we are just around the bend with a large off street Car park in front.
Queen Charlotte drive is very twisty and narrow, but very scenic. Not advisable at night.
Alternatively stay on State Highway 1 to Blenheim, turn left at Raparua Road to Spring Creek and turn left to Picton. This is a longer but straighter road which takes the same time as the scenic route.

Picton Lodge Backpackers accommodation is located 24 kms from Blenheim
Travel North on State Highway 1 and head for the ferry terminal, we are just past the BP station on the left.
