In 2008 we began our exterior facelift. Due to weather constraints, it will re-commence in Spring 2009. We are conducting our renovation project in stages and the current work will cause no disruption during your stay. Stay tuned for details on our interior refurbishment. Area information

Halifax, the capital of Nova Scotia, was called "Chebucto" or "The Great Long Harbour" by the Mi'Kmaq Indians. The City was founded in 1749 by Colonel Edward Cornwallis. In 1750, Halifax's sister City of Dartmouth was founded, located just across the Halifax Harbour.

Halifax is the east coast's largest metropolitan centre, with a population of 350,000, as well as being the economic, cultural, educational and civil service centre of Atlantic Canada.
