Desert Islands Resort & Spa is located on the natural island of Sir Bani Yas. The island offers wildlife, archaeological sites dating back to the Stone Age, marine beauty and a unique desert island landscape. The area is perfect for game watching, fishing, diving and snorkelling, canoeing, kayaking or mountain biking.
The island's bird sanctuary has a variety of native and imported birds, including the flightless African ostrich, rhea and emu, along with the Egyptian goose, partridge, crane, guinea fowl and pheasant. Flocks of pink flamingos can be seen by the hundreds in the island's mangroves and lakes.
