The Farmyard Retreat is set on the site of a family-run farm, owned by the Snell family. The farm is purely an organic producer of beef.

The Farmyard Retreat is made up of a collection of barns including stables and the old dairy.

Fishing is available on the private lake.

Combining the luxuries of a 5-star hotel with the privacy of your own home, the apartments provide a place for you to unwind in comfort and tranquillity.

Each apartment features a large entrance hall, a sitting room and a hidden compact kitchen, which opens onto the patio. The bedrooms are comfortably furnished with a king-size bed and Egyptian cotton sheets.

All of the apartments boasts views across the private lake and through the valley to the Mendips.

Apartments sleeps 2, but 2 more can be accommodated in the sitting room on prior request and at an additional charge (please see Hotel Policies).

You can choose to have breakfast prepared for you, or take advantage of the kitchen area for self-catering.

Yeovil and its surrounding areas boast a number of tourist attractions including stately homes and gardens, Fleet Air Arm Museum, Longleat, Splashdown and Lyme Regis.

By Car (from the M3 motorway):
- Leave the M3 motorway at junction 8, following the signs for the A303, Andover and the South West.
- Continue on the A303 for about 90 minutes, until you reach the Sparkford roundabout (near the Mcdonald’s).
- At this roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the A303, following the signs for Taunton.
- At the next roundabout (by the Travelodge), take the 2nd exit, again onto the A303 towards Taunton.
- After about 0.75 miles (1.2 km) take the turning to Yeovil and Ilchester, onto the A37.
- Follow this road until you reach the roundabout.
- At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A37, signposted Yeovil.
- After about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) you will come to another roundabout. Take the 1st exit onto Combe Street Lane.
- Just before the end of Combe Street Lane, turn left onto Stone Lane.
- Continue down Stone Lane for about 200 metres, until you reach the entrance to The Farmyard on the left-hand side
- Carry on down the drive, keeping to your right-hand side.
