St Andrews Lodge Hotel - Guest House

The St Andrews Lodge Hotel and Guest House in Selsey is 20 minutes from Chichester and less than a mile from the beach. Many rooms open onto the garden.

The St Andrews Lodge Hotel has a bar which opens onto the garden and a lounge. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi and free onsite parking. A traditional English breakfast is available.

One room has been specially adapted to suit guests with wheelchairs. The room has a double and single bed as well as a wheel-in shower room.

Dogs are welcome in the ground floor rooms which open onto the garden.

Selsey is a working fishing port with many restaurants serving the catch of the day. St Andrews Lodge is a 5 minute drive from Pagham Harbour Nature Reserve, a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

We have 10 en suite rooms, 5 on the 1st floor and 5 on the ground floor. The ground floor rooms open directly onto the garden and are ideal for those who find it difficult to manage stairs or who wish to bring their dogs. Dogs are allowed on our large south facing garden.

Selsey was once an important Saxon Town and fishing has been the mainstream of life here for centuries.
St Wilfred founded a Monastery/Cathedral here, which was transferred to Chichester in 1075.

The main street still looks much as it did in the 18th century and there are several thatched cottages to be seen.

To the West of the town is Selsey Windmill which was built in 1820. This has been restored and can be admired from the outside.

With so many of the townsfolk dependent on the sea for a living the lifeboat station was established here in 1860. There is also an interesting Lifeboat Museum.

The towns East Beach was once a well-recognised scene for smuggling. Much later during World War II East Beach was used as a gathering point for sections of the Mulberry harbour. This was transported across the channel as part of the D Day landings.

Selsey has much to offer visitors of all ages – why not walk along the unspoilt beaches to Pagham Nature Reserve

There is also a local Golf course, horse riding, fishing and a range of cafes bars and pubs.

From the a27 at Chichester, head south on the b2145 and continue for 7 miles. Once in Selsey, St. Andrews Lodge is set back on the right hand side of Chichester Road opposite Church Road, just before the mini roundabout.

Dogs are welcome in ground floor rooms only. Please indicate if you will be bringing a dog when booking.
