The building itself was originally commissioned in 1824 by a Paisley cotton mill owner by the name of Joseph Twigg. The original Georgian character of the building has been recently restored in impressive detail. The hotel’s careful restoration has retained the building’s original character and maintained its listed architectural and historic qualities.
