The cosy rooms are individually decorated and many offer views across the bay. All rooms have an en suite bathroom, tea /coffee facilities, a TV and radio.

Full cooked and light breakfasts are served daily in the bright, airy dining room with its large-screen TV, and a small range of wines, spirits and soft drinks are also available in the lounge.

The resident's lounge area features a digital TV, a piano, and a selection of video games.

Just 5 minutes from Oban Rail Station, The Palace is a 15-minute walk from Glencruitten Golf Club. Fishing, horse-riding and sailing are all available nearby, and there is a selection of restaurants within walking distance. Please note the hotel has no lift.

Food & beverage

The dining room overlooks Oban bay and is the perfect place to relax. If you plan to visit the islands during your stay, we will provide a full cooked breakfast at 7.00am to allow you to catch the early boat if you wish.

Travel information

The hotel is situated on Oban's main street which is the main road from Glasgow, Perth etc. There are two sets of traffic lights on George Street, the door to the hotel is just before the second set, next to the Royal Bank of Scotland. No residential Parking available. For customers arriving by bus, train or ferry, please walk along the water front with the water to your left. The hotel is opposite the bay located between the railway and north piers approximately 2 minutes walk from the stations.

Important information

The hotel will add an additional 3% charge to payments made by credit or debit card (except Delta and Maestro), with a minimum card fee of GBP 4.

Amendment to bookings will be subject to a modification fee.

Due to the location of this hotel, guests may experience some noise, particularly at weekends.
