This stylish, family-run guest house is close to Edinburgh city centre and has easy access by bus. It has free parking, free Wi-Fi and attractive rooms with Freeview TVs and DVD players.

The Southside Guest House is a mile (1.6 km) from Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station and the shops of Princes Street. The regular buses take less than 10 minutes.

The stylish en suite rooms are individually decorated and mix original features with modern facilities. Some rooms faces Newington Road and some look out over the rear garden.

A full cooked Scottish breakfast is available, along with vegetarian and vegan alternatives. There is also a daily special, cheeses, oatcakes, bakery items and fresh fruit salad.

Breakfast at Southside Guest House is an important occasion! Breakfast is served at individual tables (one per room!) set up with linen. We try to cater for most tastes and feature the famous Southside Grill or the Vegetarian alternative. We regularly cater for guest on a Vegan diet.

Each Day we also present a Special Dish or Ingredient which is of course also included in the price of your room.

Cheeses, oatcakes, bakery and fresh fruit salad, complement the hot selection and we offer an excellent selection of teas and coffees including cappuccino, espresso and latte.

Southside does not have a restaurant or bar. However you will find Edinburgh's restaurant and bar scene very rich and diverse. Most types of cuisine are well represented and many restaurants have won critical accolades...and of course Edinburgh's pubs are world famous!! There are many neighbourhood pubs and restaurants all within a few minutes walk (5 to 10 minutes) from Southside. The restaurants are representative of various national and cuisine styles: Cantonese - Californian - Turkish - Thai - French - Modern Scottish - Indian - Mexican - Jamaican - North African.
