Just 150 metres from Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, these apartments are 5 minutes’ walk from Waverley Rail Station. Individual rooms are available, sharing the apartment kitchen and bathrooms.

Each apartment has a shared lounge/dining area, with a TV available to rent from reception. Fresh bed linen and towels are provided, and every bedroom has a work area and telephone.

Euro Hostel Edinburgh Halls’ modern kitchens are each equipped with an oven, fridge, microwave, toaster, and utensils. Basic groceries and supplies can be bought at reception.

The Halls are just 10 minutes’ walk from historic Edinburgh Castle. Within just 5 minutes’ walk guests will find theatres, museums, bars and restaurants.

Sightseeing bus tour tickets are available from the 24-hour Euro Hostel reception, as are souvenirs, snacks and drinks. There is Wi-Fi access at extra cost, and a coin-operated laundry facility is on site.

All bedrooms are either twin or single rooms. Ample shared bathroom facilities are available in each apartment. There is also a communal lounge and kitchen. The kitchen is kitted out with a sink, oven, fridge, freezer and microwave. Crockery, cutlery, bed linen and towels are supplied.

All bedrooms are private and lockable. As well as the facilities listed in the individual room descriptions, the bedrooms contain either 2 beds (twin rooms) or 1 single bed, as well as a chair, wardrobe and reading lamp. There are no double beds.

As all apartments are self catering, Euro Hostels Edinburgh Halls does not have an on-site restaurant or bar. However, our reception does sell a small range of snacks and drinks. There are many restaurants and bars in the area and our staff will be happy to recommend something to suit your palate and budget.

Located on Cowgate, we are one street away from the Royal Mile. Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, the Scottish parliament building, Mary Kings Close, Camera Obscurer, Museums and Art Galleries are all withing an easy walking distance of the hostel. And if it is shopping you are after, Princes Street is just a 10 minute walk away.

The Edinburgh Sightseeing Bus Tour has stops nearby and tickets can be purchased from reception.

A post office and late opening supermarkets are also nearby.

By Foot:
From Waverley Station (approximately 10-12 minutes walk):
Take Market Street exit. Turn to your left under the bridge and head right up Jeffrey Street. Carry on and cross over the High Street (Royal Mile) onto St Mary's Street. Walk down the hill and turn right into Cowgate and continue for about 200 metres. The reception is at Kindcaid's Court located on the left-hand side, corner of Guthrie Street and Cowgate.

Alternatively from Waverly Station, you can take a right at the Market Street exit. Turn right up Cockburn Street, over the Royal Mile and down Blair Street to Cowgate. Turn right into Cowgate and the hostel entrance is on Guthrie Street, the first street on your left.

From St. Andrew's Bus Station:
Head to Princes Street and then to North Bridge. Walk along North Bridge, across the Royal Mile and continue along South Bridge. Turn right into Chambers Street and then right again into Guthrie Street. The entrance to the hostel is located at the bottom of Guthrie Street on the left-hand side.

A key deposit is required for each set of keys issued.
