Set in a 17th-century building, the double rooms at Brodies have original features and stone walls. The dormitories are bright and spacious, and there are plenty of shared bathrooms.

There is a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering guests, and a common room with comfortable sofas. Free tea and coffee is also provided, and laundry facilities are available.

Just a 10-minute walk from Edinburgh Castle, Brodies Hostels is surrounded by Edinburgh’s lively bars, restaurants and nightclubs. Holyrood Palace is just 750 metres away.

Brodies Hostels are located in the very Heart of Edinburghs historic Royal Mile. Close to Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, and all other city centre attractions.

From Edinburgh Waverley Train Station, leave the train station via the Market Street exit, turn left, walk under the bridge, then turn right into Jeffrey Street. Follow Jeffrey Street round to the intersection, then turn right onto High Street. Brodies is located at 93 High Street, 50 metres up on the right hand side. This should take no longer than 5 or 6 minutes. From St. Andrew's bus station, leave the bus station and enter St. Andrew's Square. Walk through the Square and down onto Princes Street. Turn left on Princes Street and walk past the Balmoral Hotel, then turn right on North Bridge. Walk along until you come to an intersection, then turn left onto High Street. Brodies is located about 50 metres down on the left hand side. This should take about 10 minutes.

A 10% non-refundable deposit is taken from the card details provided at time of reservation. Brodies require to be notified of cancellation by 14:00 (UK time) the day prior to your arrival. If cancellation is after 14:00 on the day prior, or you fail to show up for your reservation, then the card details will be charged for the first night's stay for each room or bed booked (less deposit paid) and the remainder of the reservation will be cancelled.

Please note in case of no show the first night will be charged and the remainder of the booking cancelled.

Please note that the hostel does not accept bookings for stag/hen parties.

Reception is open from 07:00 to 01:00 each day.
