As would befit a bar that is recommended by CAMRA - the campaign for real ale, we hold a good variety of well kept handpulled beers. Local brews are sold whenever possible, with guest ales sold on a seasonal basis. The bar sells a large number of different vintages by the glass allowing the discerning drinker to sample a variety of wines.

Set in the heart of The Brecon Beacons National Park, one of Britains most beautiful wilderness areas, you will find some of the finest walks in Britain with the Beacons themselves and The Black Mountains right on the hotel’s doorstep. Despite the colossal stature of the natural surroundings, which exude a grand sense of magnificence, the bear is just an hour’s drive from Bristol and less than an hour from Cardiff.

FROM THE M5: At J8 exit and join the M50. At J4 exit and join the A449 in the direction of Ross on Wye. At the roundabout take the third exit onto the A40 in the direction of Wilton. When the A40 rejoins with the A449 take the slip road and continue on the A40. Continue on the A40 onto Beaufort St (A40) into Crickhowell. Continue on to High Street.
