Bythesea has recently been carefully refurbished to provide a host of modern comforts whilst still retaining its original Victorian features. The bright and airy guest lounge provides the perfect setting to while away the evenings, whilst the enclosed patio area is available for a spot of sea air. Both areas are child friendly, and there are even toys for the little ones.

Boasting a very central position, Bythesea is within easy walking distance of all of Ayr’s attractions, including a children’s indoor and outdoor activity centre; Pirate Pete’s; Putting Green and Crazy Putting; an indoor leisure centre; Gaiety Theatres; shops; restaurants; and Ayr’s beach.

Area information

Queens terrace is considered to be Ayr’s premier seafront location, with Victorian and Georgian town houses framing the spectacular backdrop to the sea.

Bythesea is also just 5-10 minutes from Brig o' Doon at Alloway, the birthplace of Robert Burns.

Please e-mail or phone the guest house with an estimated arrival time as staff are not always present. ByTheSea have their business mobile number on the main door of the guest house and are contactable at all times. Arrangements will be made for guests to collect keys if the owners are not present. Contact details will be given on the booking confirmation.

Photographic ID is required at check-in.

If you would like to check-in earlier than 15:00, please contact the house at least 24 hours prior to arrival. Subject to availability.
