Area information

Arnside is a delightful village on the southern edge of the English Lake District, yet it remains largely undiscovered. The village spreads from the very edge of the Kent Estuary, part of the expansive Morecambe Bay, and climbs toward the viewpoint of Arnside Knott above, itself a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A wealth of wonderful coastal walks for all abilities can be easily reached, as well as the invigorating stretch up to Arnside Knott.

Just along the 'front' from Number 43 is the heart of the village - a promenade of shops, including an art gallery, gift shops and a traditional family bakery. The local public houses: The Albion and The Fighting Cocks, provide a warm welcome and a place to make new friends.

Travelling further afield there is an abundance of places of interest for all tastes including nature reserves, art galleries, historical homes and insightful museums.
