Lakes Lodge is a new and exciting concept in Lake District accommodation. The hotel make B&B exciting by offering you a great welcome and stylish surroundings right in the centre of Ambleside in the heart of the Lakes. Come for anything from one to 14 nights and see what makes the hotel different.

The hotel operates a completely non-smoking policy. If guests smoke in their rooms, the hotel may charge up to 1 night's accommodation as a penalty.

All rooms are furnished to a very high standard, and in addition to all modern facilities, the hotel has installed DVD players in all rooms. A selection of films are available for a small charge from reception. Family rooms consist of a double and a single bed. Start your day in the cafe-style buffet breakfast room where you can help yourself to continental style cuisine. This comprises of cereals, fruit, bread and fruit juice to name just a few items available. Throughout the day the coffee machine is on for you to help yourself to when returning from a day on the lake or walking in the fells.

Lakes Lodge really is near the lake - just a short walk takes you to Waterhead Bay on Lake Windermere and the lakes steamers to Bowness and Lakeside, and a chance to explore.

You couldn’t have a better centre for a Lake District holiday or short break than Ambleside, situated as it is at the heart of the Lakes. It’s the perfect base for a walking or biking holiday, and is an atmospheric town, full of shops, tearooms and restaurants (43 of them at the last count!) with styles and prices to suit all tastes.

Ambleside makes a great base for you to discover all the superb attractions of the Lake District. And Lakes Lodge has its own parking and a lock-up area for your motorcycle or mountain bike. If you are travelling by train, Windermere is the nearest station with bus and taxi links to Ambleside, less than 5 miles down the road.

Coming into Ambleside you go through the traffic lights and follow the oneway system round the town in effect you actually go back on yourself. Lakes Lodge is on your right and the car park is at the side and to the rear.
