Some room types at Barnes Fell require a 2-night minimum stay. All reservations over Christmas, New Year, Easter and Public Holidays require a 3-night minimum stay.

Each of the luxurious bedrooms has an individually designed bath or shower room with excellent toiletries and bathrobes. All are fully equipped with shaving points and subtle lighting. There is access to a library of DVDs, maps and guides.

Start each day with breakfast in the front lounge, with fantastic views over the village and the Southern Fells. Choose from fish, fruit and vegetarian/vegan options, as well as the traditional English breakfast in a variety of choices.

Locally sourced and/or organic produce is used wherever possible.

Many fantastic Lakeland walks can be started straight from the house's door.

By Train:
Windermere Station: 5 miles. From here you can get a taxi or bus. The bus stop is 200 metres away.

By Car:
From the South:
- Take the main A591 to Ambleside.
- Pass "Hayes Garden World".
- Turn right into public car park and left out the other side onto Old Lake Road.
- Take the second road on the right, Low Gale.
- Barnes Fell is the second house on the right.

From the North:
- Arriving on the one way system, pass through the village and turn left into Old Lake Road by the "Homes of Football".
- Turn left into Low Gale.
- Then, as above.
