All of the comfortable, non-smoking rooms are en suite and well equipped. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, DVD players and tea/coffee.

Norwood was built in around 1887 by a local entrepreneur named Mr Hacking, famous for the Lovelace brand of soap, with a range that included the famous Lovelace floating soap.

The current owners purchased the house in 2001 and set about refurbishing it, including the addition of en suite bathrooms to all the bedrooms. A large conservatory was added in 2002 and the buildings were extended in June 2004 and 2005. All of the rooms have also been refurbished with new furnishings, décor, carpets and modern amenities. Nevertheless, the house still retains the wonderful character of bygone times and a unique charm.

The Norwood also has a guest lounge with a large-screen TV.

All of the rooms are furnished and decorated to a high standard. Every room is bright and airy.

A traditional Lancashire cooked breakfast is served each day between 07:15 and 09:00. The tasty full English breakfast is available in the dining room. Whatever you have planned, the generous breakfast is a great way to start your day. Only fresh produce is used.

Payment Information
The hotel will charge for payments made by credit card. There is a 3% charge for payments made by American Express.

Non-Smoking Policy:
Guests are warned that any evidence of smoking in the rooms or in the en suite bathrooms will incur an additional cost of GBP 50 for additional cleaning and a room ventilating fee. This additional cost will be automatically charged to the credit card provided. This charge is due to loss of business when arriving guests do not want to stay in rooms smelling of smoke.

Damage:
All damage must be reported to the proprietor/manager. Any damages will be charged to the credit card provided, after the inspection of the room, upon your departure. This could be up to 12 hours after you leave.

Behaviour:
Any guests behaving in an aggressive or abusive manner will be asked to leave immediately. Any guest asked to leave on the grounds of abusive behaviour will be charged in full for their stay and reported to the police.
