The hotel has 10 en suite guest bedrooms, including well-appointed doubles and twins. Each room is fitted with a plasma-screen TV with DVD player, and tea and coffee making facilities.
5 bedrooms are set in the main building, and have great views of the surrounding countryside. These rooms are named after the hills and mountains visible from the windows. The stables have 6 bedrooms all on one level with an adapted bedroom with extra facilities for wheelchair use.

Situated on the foothills of the Brecon Beacons National Park, we are ideally located for all the area has to offer, whether you are looking for good food, an afternoon with friends in the sun or a short activity break.
Travel information
By Rail
There is a main line railway station just south of the town, a 5-minute walk from the Plasderwen. Trains run from London and Cardiff via Newport, and from the North via Hereford.
By Car
From the Midlands:
- Approach via Ross-on-Wye on the M50.
From London and the East via the Severn bridges.
- Leave the M4 at junction 24, and go north on the A449 to Raglan.
- Head west on the A40 to Abergavenny.
- Approach Abergavenny on the A4042 from the South; the A465 from the West and North; or the A40 from the East.
- These roads meet at a roundabout just south of the town.
- Take the A40 signposted to Abergavenny. Soon after the roundabout, Plas Derwen is situated about 100 yards further along on the right-hand side.
- There is car park in front of the hotel and more spaces are situated behind the accommodation.
