Baeren Hotel, The Bear Inn

Set in a building from 1706, the Baeren Hotel in Wilderswil near Interlaken offers traditionally furnished rooms with private bathrooms. Free access to Wi-Fi is available in the lobby.

The restaurant serves traditional Swiss cuisine and local specialities. The big and varied breakfast buffet provides for a good start. A comfortable lounge on the first floor with a terrace invites you to relax.

The rooms at The Bear Inn are comfortable and cosy, with a rustic decor. All rooms have a nice view of the surrounding mountains and the village. Rooms with balconies are available on request.

There are 2 separate children's playrooms and an outdoor playground. Bikes as well as public transport by bus and train in the surrounding area are free of charge with the hotel's guest card.

Wilderswil is known as the "flower village" and is only 3 km away from the centre of Interlaken. By train the famous Jungfraujoch and the Schilthorn/Piz Glorie are easily reachable. It is also an ideal location for boat trips on Lakes Thun and Brienz.

The Restaurant Rustica is popular for its specialities of grilled local meat, its famous Rösti potatoes, cheese fondue, raclette and other local dishes.

The Pizzeria with the covered garden-terrace has the same basic menus in addition to pizza and pasta.

Enjoy a local Rugenbräu beer on tap or a fine glass of wine, while meeting the locals in our bar.

We also offer the popular "Tavern Special", a 4-course menu served in a traditional way going back to grandmother's time.

By public transport:
By train from Berne or Lucerne, you change at Interlaken-Ost for the train in the direction of Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen. Wilderswil is the first stop after only 5 minutes. From there it is only 400 metres to the hotel. With appointment by phone we will meet you at Wilderswil station with our car. From Interlaken Train Station it is only 5 minutes by taxi.
