The Royal Park Hotel is small country hotel with an exclusive ambience and a touch of nostalgia in the traditional village of Kandersteg in the Bernese Oberland.

Enjoy classical, bright interiors with wooden ceilings and white walls, the pleasant ambience in the wide, light-flooded lounges and restaurants, and the fireplaces where a sizzling fire is lit up in the evenings to provide a cosy atmosphere.

Surrounded by our 10,000 m² hotel park with its old trees and well-groomed lawn, you will find our “Private Beauty and Health Resort & Spa”. It features a new, 110 m² natural swimming pool cleaned by plants and gravel, without chlorine, as well as an indoor pool (120 m², 30°C) and everything else you need for your health. Here you enjoy tranquility and wonderful, unobstructed views of snow-white glaciers, stretching up to 3,600 metres above sea level in the “Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn” UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The rooms and suites are furnished in classical styles (Louis XV, Louis XVI, Renaissance) and are decorated in soft colours. Highest elegance is combined with the most modern comfort for a charming and cosy ambience.

The "Rôtisserie", our classic restaurant, offers elegant dining in a festive ambience. Traditional French cuisine, adapted to modern demands, is served in the classical "service à l'anglaise" (plates are arranged at the guest's table). Evenings with candlelight and accompanied by our own pianist take place 2 or 3 times a week. The restaurant fatures a big open fire place with grill and spit.

The Restaurant Français offers à la carte specialities in a very private atmosphere.

The "Taverna Rustica" is a typical restaurant for informal evenings and serves Swiss specialities and small dishes.

The hotel’s exceptional position lets you easily reach the northern and southern sides of the Alps because of the nearby Lötschberg Tunnel crossing the mountains. The village of Kandersteg itself is not used for through traffic. Instead of packing your luggage nearly every day, enjoy the wide range of excursions and day trips of the Royal Park Hotel.

Kandersteg is easily reachable by train. On request, we can pick you up at the airports in Berne or Zurich, or at the train stations in Berne or Spiez.
