Posthotel Rössli

Built in 1845, the Posthotel Rössli is the oldest hotel in Gstaad. It is situated right in the pedestrianized centre of the village and offers free parking on site and free Wi-Fi in the entire building.

Providing a typical Swiss ambience, the Posthotel Rössli's rooms feature Alpine-style wooden furniture.

Fine Swiss specialities are served in the hotel's 2 restaurants.

In the company of your host Rudi Widmer, mountain guide, ski instructor and hunter. We would like to recommend you our guided hiking trips, back country ski tours with lunch at our hunting cabin not far away from Gstaad, up in the mountains. The typical structural design of our "Gasthaus" is the chalet style. Likewise all buildings in the whole area are kept in the same fashion. All our rooms have been recently refurnished with wood and brought up to a modern standard. They are comfortably furnished and they provide the following equipment: bathroom or shower, television, beverage cooler, radio, self-dial telephone and hair-dryer.

Even some of our rooms contain a balcony where you can enjoy our beautiful mountain scenery. Our standard rooms contain comfortable showers, but our superior rooms have spacious bathrooms.

The restaurant «Stübli» the authentic restaurant in Gstaad – since the beginning it remained the same way. Just for a drink, for lunch or dinner this is the place to enjoy local and regional cuisine.

If you are looking for a restaurant in a unique and lively atmosphere you need to come and stop by. We are proud to count many local guests and also visitors from far away. In the restaurant «Stübli» we serve you a «à la carte menu» and a daily menu.

The restaurant «Alti Poscht»:
Back in the good old times when the stagecoach passed our village, a post-office used to be in corner of the building. That's why we named this restaurant «Alti Poscht» meaning old post-office in swiss german.

Our restaurant «Alti Poscht» is compare to the «Stübli» a more quiet, tranquil place. This charming old pine-paneled eating establishment seats up to 80 people. Just perfect for a family reunion, or a dinner party.

Whether you enjoy a pleasant village atmosphere or a great variety of shopping opportunities: in the region of Gstaad, which is referred to by the locals as the Saanenland, your holiday dreams will come true. This is because what is on offer is, in fact delivered. Also, since tradition is not simply a façade in our oldest villages, guests truly feel at home here.
