Hotel Spalentor

The Hotel Spalentor is a non-smoking hotel located close to the old city centre, with modern conference rooms at the University Basel.

The hotel has 40 elegant, large (30 metres squared) rooms. You can enjoy a buffet breakfast with a gorgeous view over Basel's roofs, a drink in the bar or the small garden in the summer. Other facilities include playroom with billiards, dart and table football.

The hotel has a fitness room and coffee and tea kitchen. There is also a DVD-player with free access to our wide choice of DVD's as well as free renting of the hotel's bicycles. All for free.

Bus connections bring you within a few minutes to the fair, the airport and the Swiss, French and German railway stations.

Conference rooms at the „Kollegienhaus“ of university Basle available. We offer an extraordinary conference package for our guests. The university of Basle is situated opposite of the Hotel Spalentor. You stay at the Hotel Spalentor and enjoy all the amenities of the hotel. Well refreshed you will start for the conference at the “Kollegienhaus” of the university Basle. There you will have a meeting in a dynamic surrounding in modern conference rooms with daylight which are equipped with standard meeting technology. During the meeting you will get new energy at two coffee breaks and a nutritious lunch. We offer this package including overnight, conference room with standard technology, two coffee breaks and lunch for at least 20 participants.

Also available on request: rooms with disabled facilities, small refrigerator, iron & iron board, rooms with balcony, connecting rooms.

Incl. "Mobility ticket" for public transport and airport shuttle.

The breakfast is served from Monday to Friday from 07:00 until 10:00. On weekends and bank holidays from 07:30 until 11:00.

Our hotel bar is open from 07:00 until 22:45. It offers a various choice of warm snacks and drinks.
During summertime you can enjoy a drink or ice-cream in our garden.

Hotel Spalentor is close to the old city, the university, the botanic garden and the hospital.

You can reach the exhibition and congress centre, the airport and the train stations within a few minutes.

The hotel is exactly situated opposite of the famous city gate " Spalentor "
