A walk through the historic streets in the old town of Basel, which is one of the best preserved and most beautiful in Europe, is an impressive experience.

Travel information

Hotel Merian is located in the centre of Basel, directly at the river Rhein. If you arrive by car, take the highway exit “Messe Basel”. Drive to the “Messeplatz” where you find the sign posts giving directions the various hotels.

If you arrive by train to central station (SBB) take tram number. 8 from “ Badischer Bahnhof “ then take tram number 6 to tram stop “Rheingasse”
