Nordkalotten Hotell & Konferens

The Nordkalotten Hotel & Conference is built upon old reindeer pastures and traces of old Sami settlements are to be found in the area. The timbered walls from which the hotel is built are estimated to be between 700-1000 years old.

Nordkalotten is the geographic name for the provinces touching the Arctic Circle and the hotel is situated only 2 km from Luleå Airport and 6 km from the town centre.

The comfortable guest rooms have rustic wooden furniture telling tales about the region. The 8 corners of the building symbolise the seasons of the Sami year. Rooms for disabled guests are available upon request and all hotel areas offer easy access.

Enjoy the daily evening buffet, served between 18:00 and 21:00 in a genuine setting, with walls and ceilings made from thick timber, in the Restaurant Åtta årstider. The hotel café is always open for drinks and light snacks.

The Renhagen Bar often enjoys troubadour entertainment until the small hours and offers lovely views over Lake Höträsket. Alternatively guests can eat out in a Sami tent and be inspired by Sami culture and mystique.

At Hotel Nordkalotten, guests can enjoy the tranquillity of surrounding nature. Feel the heat of the sauna and enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool, or maybe some relaxing shopping in the hotel’s well stocked shop.

Nordkalotten Hotell is built from thousand year old Kelo wood, with the eight corners symbolising the eight seasons of the Sami year.

The hotel is built upon old reindeer pasture and traces of old Sami settlements are to be found in the area.

The large open fireplace in the restaurant Åtta Årstider (Eight Seasons) weighs 17 tonnes and is made of shale from Finland. The floor is made of massive pine and is 4 centimetres thick.

We are located between city and natural surroundings, south west of Luleå and close to Luleå Airport.

Being so close to the natural surroundings, the city centre, and Luleå Airport you will not miss anything.

Rooms for disabled guests are available upon request. The hotel offers easy access to the hotel entrance and public areas.

Bar Renhagen is open daily from early afternoon until late evening for hot or cold drinks.
