The former prison cells have been restored, extended and converted into comfortable guest rooms, which still retain the charm of the building's unique history. Many have loft ceilings and beautiful beams creating a warm atmosphere. The hotel also includes a prison museum.

The former cells were carefully restored and guests can still take a look at the former isolation cells situated in the cellar.

- Take the E18 road from Stockholm to Oslo.
- Alternatively take the number 45 road from Gothenburg.
- Follow the signs marked for the centre, heading towards the roundabout where the hotel is located.

By Air:
Karlstad airport is 15 km to the south east.

By Public Transport:
Karlstad railway station and the local bus are 300 metres to the west; Karlstad bus station is 700 metres to the west.
