This area is a golfer's paradise - there are four 18 hole golf courses in the vicinity of Vera Beach Club, as well as Desert Springs Indiana, Europe's first Arizona-style desert golf course, with unique features such as springs, watercourses, dry river beds and rock and cactus areas.
The small but fascinating theme-park, Mini Hollywood, is just a forty-minute drive from Vera Beach where cinema history was actually made. Nature lovers should visit El Cabo de Gata, a protected reserve with numerous little -known species of flora and fauna.
