Our small Hostal Norat Sanxenxo is a familiar, 2-stars property is run by Doña Milagros Deza for many years. It was opened at the end of the eighties and since then it has been a point for meetings for business travelers and friends who meet each other here every year, while enjoying their holidays.

The hotel can accommodate 36 guests in 15 well-equipped double rooms, 7 of them with a furnished terrace. There are also 6 folding beds available to add to the rooms.

The housekeeping service is available until 13:00.

There are many typically Portuguese restaurants in close proximity of the hotel.

Hrs Norat Sanxenxo ** is located in the heart of the Rias Baixas, in the marine town of Portonovo. It is situated at ca. 80m from the beach of Portono, and approximately 250m from the most famous beach of Galicia: Silgar beach (Sanxenxo).
The hotel is located in the calm residential zone of Baltar, which is a 5-minute walk away from the centre of Portonovo and 10 from Sanxenxo.
We have our own parking zone and a garage, so parking is never a problem. The hotel grants easy access to the main sights of the city, and it is the perfect place for lovers of tranquillity, the beach and entertainment.

How to reach us:

Coming from the airport of Vigo (Peinador): take the freeway in the direction of Pontevedra (AP-9). Once you have passed the bridge of Pontevedra, drive in the direction of Santiago de Compostela and you will see a sign that reads Sanxenxo in green on the bottom (fastroute VRG-4.1). Take this exit, and drive on until you sign for Sanxenxo, and then drive on until you see the roundabout, on which you make a turn to the left, passing the Carrefour Supermarket and two gas stations on each side of the highway. Now you should go on straight ahead, and after 200m there will be another roundabout, where you should turn to the right, and after another 250m you will pass the last roundabout on which you should take a turn to the right (this roundabout is visible on the map of Bookings). On the left you will see the town of Portonovo and a beach, and then you should exit to the highway. Here you should turn to the right and after 100m you will see Hostal Norat Sanxenxo in a park with high pine trees.

Another manner to arrive at the Hostal is:
Drive as described above, but at the last roundabout you should take a turn to the right (in the direction of the medical centre), and then you should take the second street to the right (this is actually the first street because the previous one is an entrance for ambulances only) and then the first street to the left.

If you come from the airport of Santiago de Compostela (Lavacolla), the way towards our Hostal is exactly the same: drive in the direction of Pontevedra (AP -) for 15 km until you will see a sign that reads Sanxenxo in green on the bottom (fastroute VRG-4.1).

Coming from the AP-9 motorway:
(MADRID-BENAVENTE-OURENSE-VIGO-PONTEVEDRA-O GROVE) This way is the same as the ones above: drive on until you see a sign that reads Sanxenxo in green on the bottom (fastroute VRG-4.1).
When you leave the AP-9 motorway in Pontevedra and enter the local 550, you should drive in the direction of the coast of Portonovo.

By train:
The RENFE station is close to the stations of Pontevedra (18km) and Villagarcía (28 km) with several daily connections from Coruna and Santiago (in the direction of Vigo) and from Vigo and Redondela (in the direction of Coruna). In Pontevedra (7:59 pm) and Santiago (8:43 pm) there is a connection with the "Tren Hotel Rías Gallegas" Express to Madrid. The linear service to Sanxenxo from Pontevedra (18 km) and Villagarcía (28 km) goes every hour between 7:30 am and 10:00 pm in wintertime and until 5.00 am in summertime. The regular and national bus lines have connections to the majority of the Galician cities, and they also have internaltional destinations like France, Belgium, Holland, etc.
