On the hillside of ‘sierra nevada’, in ‘the alpujarra’, is located berchules, a village in granada at 1350 metres above sea level and at 40 KM from the tropical coast. In this side of ‘the alpujarra’, far away from town and hubbub, among chestnuts, walnut, ash trees, etc. We find ‘ el cercado’; it is surrounded by many different mediterranean cultivations, located in an amazing natural environment in the enclosure of a rural touristy residential area. These houses were built with the most typical style from `the alpujarra’; the country décor. Ceilings were made of wood, stone, cane, slate, etc. Each one was decorated in a different way, it is easier to admire than to describe. We also offer a high standard of comfort and service.

The complex has 14 country houses, one of which is totally adapted for wheel chairs. Honeymoon suite, bar, restaurant, parking, adult and children’s swimming pool, spacious rooms for all kinds of events and children’s playground.

Activities: Many outdoor possibilities, environmental education activities, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, 4x4, quads, adventure tours, wine tasting, ham factories, craftsman workshop and artistic and cultural sights.

El Cercado offers 14 typical country houses from the Alpujarras (2-4 people), all of them individually decorated and equipped with washing machine, fridge, microwave, TV, kitchenware, heating, chimney, towel warmer, terrace and parking at the doorstep. We also have a 2 person suite deluxe with excellent views. Let your alarm clock be the birds singing and nature’s fragrance.

Bar- restaurante Asador
Exclusive decoration, easier to admire than to describe. The menu includes traditionally grilled meats (fire oven) and local cuisine. Lounge for meetings or events with panoramic views.
