Hotel Mitra is the perfect offer for those of you who like to combine business meetings with pleasant trips to historical places. After your morning meeting, held professionally with all of our high standard technological equipment, you can wander off and discover the old town, castle and Roman ruins in the afternoons. We will be happy to organise your business, cultural or social events.

The present hotel reminds of a modern Mithra (who was the ancient god of light and good) temple dedicated to fans of hospitality, homeliness and comfort.The rooms are named after a historical character related to the town of Ptuj and/or to the house. During your stay in our hotel, the rich history of the town and especially of the house will slowly reveal itself, as each room and hall tells its own story.

Our Austro-Hungarian coffee-house is Ptuj's oldest and first coffee-house; inside its 200 year-old walls you will feel the past and present meeting one another. Feel the pulse of time.

In the morning we serve excellent coffee with freshly baked treats. You should definitely try our homemade traditional Slovenian sweets like Haloška and Prleška gibanica. If you are not a coffee person, taste one of the freshly prepared beverages, and discover Ptuj fully refreshed.

The coffee-house is open every day: Monday to Thursday from 08:00 to 23:00; Fridays and Saturdays from 08:00 to 24:00; and Sundays and public holidays from 08:00 until 24:00.

Buffet breakfast is served each morning in the breakfast room.

Ptuj is the oldest city in Slovenia. You can relax by swimming in one of the numerous swimming pools or let your body enjoy one of the fantastic massages in the Therme nearby. For all the passionate golfers, Ptuj's golf course will be a delight.

Not to forget the wine lovers - by visiting Ptuj you are in the centre of one of the most fabulous wine regions of Slovenia. Ptuj's wine cellar will be an unforgettable evening treat, maybe you will try one of the older wines originating from 1917. Imagine all the stories that are waiting for you around every corner.
