Our hotel is part of the tourist complex in a quiet and relaxed setting near the natural wonder of Postojna Cave offering lodgings for business, leisure and adventure travellers.

The hotel is set in an attractive green park environment overlooking the river Pivka and provides 220 rooms.

Gourmets are invited to the nearby Jamski Dvorec Mansion, where our chefs prepare outstanding cuisine and many culinary delights. Several conference halls are also available, so we can organise special events on request and help to make a memorable experience for you.

There are excellent public transport links nearby, and within 150 metres of here is Postojna Cave, a world tourist attraction. Free parking facilities are available for the hotel guests. The entire tourist complex and the hotel Jama are wheelchair accessible.

Hotel Jama has 143 spacious and comfortable rooms, most of which have a balcony. All single, double, triple and family rooms are en suite and all provide an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Some rooms have TV, minibar and a hairdryer. Smoking rooms are available on request.

Breakfast for the guests is buffet style, while dinners are served in the traditional way.

Predjama Castle:
Only 10 km from Postojna Cave stands one of the most picturesque wonders, the medieval fort of Predjama Castle. It gives an interesting insight into the life of that era and demonstrates rebellious knight Erazem of Predjama, who is the subject of a romantic and beautiful legend.

The Military History Park:
12 km from Postojna, in Pivka, visitors can explore our rich military heritage, an exhibition based on the first and second Tank Brigade of the People’s Liberation Army of Yugoslavia.

Ljubljana:
The capital city of Ljubljana is only 30 minutes' drive away. There you can enjoy a walk in the old part of the city or perhaps just visit the castle and one of many museums and other attractions.

Seaside:
Hotel Jama is 30 minutes' drive from the Slovenian coast where you can swim in the Adriatic sea and enjoy the sun.

Postojna Cave:
The greatest show cave in the true Karst comprises as many as 20 km of passages with calcite formations, galleries and halls, created by nature over millions of years. The cave train takes you to the underground, where you can admire the size and beauty of the stalactites and stalagmites and have an unforgettable adventure.

By car:
-Coming from Trieste (Italy) or Ljubljana (A1) exit the motorway towards Postojna, Reka:
- Head towards Postojna Jama-grotte-cave.
- Turn right at the exit from the motorway.
- At the 1st set of traffic lights, turn right again and continue straight ahead.
- Turn left at the 3rd set of traffic lights.
- From the centre continue straight on and follow the signs for the Postojna cave to the hotel Jama.

You can reach Slovenia from several European countries by aeroplane. Airports close to Postojna are: Ljubljana (72 km); Klagenfurt (180 km); Trieste (75 km); Venice (185 km); Graz (240 km); Vienna (440 km); Zagreb (190 km).

The main bus station is 800 metres from the hotel. Go towards the city centre and turn right at the traffic lights. It will take you a 15 minutes walk.

The railway station is 1.2 km from the hotel (25 minute walk). Turn left towards city centre. Turn left again at the 1st traffic lights.
