Guests can enjoy the ambience and delights of the Otočec Restaurant, which offers top-quality cuisine including local specialities and an extensive wine list. The hotel with the nearby castle provide a perfect setting for special events such as weddings, civil ceremonies, parties, anniversaries and themed parties. A romantic dinner served by staff in medieval clothes in the old Castle Restaurant could be something you will never forget. The hotel is also an impressive setting for business meetings. There is also dance music offered at the Tango Restaurant near the Šport Hotel.

All rooms are en suite and have a hair dryer, satellite TV, telephone, radio, a mini bar and a balcony or a terrace.

The suites have separate living room and bedroom and can be rearranged for business meetings.

The Sport hotel lies in the beautiful region of Dolenjska - the green heart of Slovenia - famed for its beautiful rivers, valleys, pastures, forests and vineyards, and is situated close to the town of Novo Mesto and its nearby sister hotel at Šmarješke Toplice.

Otočec is an ideal starting point for excursions. We enjoy taking guests to nearby vineyard cottages, where they meet all the splendor of the finest Cviček wine and homemade foods. We also happily take them to the nearby Šmarješke Toplice Spa, where they can bathe in the healing thermal water.

Otočec is half way between Ljubljana and Zagreb and 7 kilometres away from the center of Dolenjska, Novo mesto. Only a slightly greater distance separates us from the ancient Pleterje Carthusian Monastery and Kostanjevica, called also the Venice of Dolenjska, as well as from Krško, Brežice or Bela krajina across Gorjanci. Thus, the Dolenjska region lies at the disposal of the guests of the Otočec Hotel.

From Ljubljana Airport (Brnik) to Novo Mesto:
- From the airport turn left on the local road.
- At the 1st crossroads turn left again and you will come on the highway E63.
- Head in the direction of Ljubljana.
- From Ljubljana head in the direction of Zagreb (highway E70). Otočec is in the same direction.
- After 70 km you will come to the exit for Otočec.

By Bus/ Train:
The nearest bus or railway station is in Novo Mesto. It is best is to take a taxi to Otočec, which costs approximately EUR 20.
