Kranjska Gora is a wellknown tourist center, which retains its village atmosphere, situated in the heart of Julian Alps and Karavanke mountains close to Austrian and Italian borders. In winter there are two international ski events: World Cup – men slalom and giant slalom, World Cup – ski jumping championship in Planica.
