Hotel Bolfenk

Our Alpine chalet style hotel with light and roomy accommodation is nestled amongst evergreen forests and has facilities for leisure, fitness and business travellers.

The comfortable rooms with private balconies give you a great view of the surrounding countryside which you can explore on a rented bike, hiking or, at the right time of year, as part of our ski school.

The hotel has a large restaurant and a spacious meeting room with high ceilings, complete with a projector and TV screen.

When its time to relax, our indoor swimming pool welcomes you to let off some steam. The wellness centre with jacuzzi, sauna and spa will leave you totally rejuvenated; not forgetting the massage service.

We can be easily reached by car, taxi or cable car and there is free parking just in front of the hotel.

There are 20 modern furnished rooms in the hotel with 80 beds. All are big enough for 4 people and all have bathrooms, kitchenettes and balconies.

The hotel has a half-board restaurant, an a la carte restaurant and a restaurant with a sunny terrace for banquets and seminars. At weekends we prepare delicious dishes for attractive prices.
Breakfast is served between 07:00 and 10:00. Dinner is served between 19:00 and 21:00.

The green giant over Maribor has kept its untouched natural beauty over the centuries. Its mysterious forests once famous for colliers, dwarves and other mystic creatures are today a great place to ski, relax and rejuvenate.

You can explore the landscape on horse back: for experienced riders, beginners or ponies for children. You can rent a bike and ride, guided or by yourself, to Rogla, Ribniško Pohorje, Kope and Drava valley.

Or we have Nordic walking sticks for hire; its also possible to hire an INWA instructor to guide you on your hike.

The nearest airport is Maribor which is 25 km away. Graz, Austria is 60 km away, Ljubljana: 130 km and Zagreb, Croatia: 130 km.

By car/bus:
- From direction Ljubljana take the exit Maribor - Jug on the motorway.
- Turn left at exit HOČE (signalledcrossroad), or turn right at that crossroad if you're coming from Austria or Croatia.
- When you reach Hoče just keep driving until signs for Bolfenk where on the top of the Pohorje Mountain you will find settlement Bolfenk.
