A magnificent Alpine setting with views of the Julian Alps is just one of the advantages of skiing on Vogel. Not only is it renowned for its wonderful snow conditions, but it is also one of the first mountains the southern weather front hits, resulting in big amounts of snow. Vogel is usually open from December through April. Kobla is another ski area within walking distance that has steep slopes and good snow, while Sorica is ideal for families and beginners.
