In the summertime Bled and the surroundings offer great opportunities for enjoying the outdoors – take walks in nature, do some sports or sightseeing – Bled Castle and many churches and galleries are nearby. You can walk through the Vintgar Canyon, the cave under the Babji Zob or visit the waterfall under Iglica. It is also possible to rent a kayak or a raft and paddle down the Sava Bohinjka River.
In winter, Bled becomes a picturesque ski resort, suited both for beginners and experienced skiers – they can take advantage of the 4 ski centres nearby, connected by a bus line. Lovers of cross-country skiing will be delighted by the skiing centre in Pokljuka, where you can ski on perfectly arranged tracks that will lead you through unspoilt nature. In the Triglav National Park you can climb up frozen waterfalls.
