Novi Sad is situated in the Hungarian plain at the foothills of Mt. Fruska, on the left bank of the Danube river (at km 1255 to be precise).

The Petrovaradin Fortress, as regards size and beauty, is the greatest jewel of Novi Sad. It is located on the right bank of the Danube river, right across from the city centre. It boast a famous clock tower and the most amazing view of the city. During the past few years it has been the home of the EXIT festival.
Furthermore, Novi Sad is surrounded with traditional villages and scenic nature. Another one of the town's valuables are its people which are known to be calm, hospitable and of the jolliest temper.
