Monte dos Apóstolos is a palace-like house from the early 19th century in the southern limits of the urban area, from where you can appreciate a landscape of a great natural beauty. Relax, feel the warm air on your skin and gaze over the vast oak grove.

At your request, we can serve high quality meals allowing you to enjoy the variety of dishes and flavours which are part of the regional gastronomy.

You are free to enjoy the surrounding countryside on foot, by bicycle or by coach. You can also ride a horse, both at the riding school and beyond. In the summer you can use the salt water swimming pool, suitable for both adults and children.

Travel information

By Car:
- From Lisbon, take the A2 highway heading towards Espanha/Évora/Elvas.
- On Estremoz, take the IP2 in the direction of Portalegre.
- After Monforte turn right at the Portalegre Train Station heading towards the URRA.
- Just 5 km after at the entrance of the village, turn right at the Monte dos Apóstolos sign.

From the North:
- Take the A1 and follow the A23 at Torres Novas.
- Turn to Évora heading on the Portalegre IP2.
- In Portalegre, follow Arronches/Elvas/Espanha sign.
- Turn left after 5 km and then turn right towards Urra.
- After the village, turn left at the Monte dos Apóstolos sign.
