Tivoli Lagos

In the very heart of the ancient and picturesque city of Lagos, the Tivoli Lagos was created with all the character and charm of a small village.

The 9-building hotel includes gardens, archways, terracotta tile paths and stairways. The design creates a small hotel ambience in each building, heightened by many tucked away air conditioned sitting areas, some containing fireplaces for winter comfort.

A central courtyard contains a large pool and a 4-by-5-metre (12-by-15-foot) children's pool surrounded by a sundeck. A solarium houses a 12-metre (40-foot-long) heated pool and 4-person spa tub. In addition to the listed facilities the hotel's health club contains a tanning room and massage rooms.
Served by complimentary shuttle bus, the hotel's beach club 2 km (1.2 miles) away on a 7 km (4 mile) beach (Meia Praia) comprises a series of thatched-roof buildings, including an open-air restaurant/bar, facing a 14 metre (45-foot-diameter) pool.

The Tivoli Lagos offers 324 air conditioned rooms in 9 different buildings up to 5 storeys high. Balconies and terraces are furnished with one or 2 chairs and a cocktail table. Rooms are carpeted or tiled and have fabrics of blue, green or yellow.

Restaurant "O CANTINHO ITALIANO" offers Italian cuisine.
With an informal atmosphere, and an Italian style of decoration, this is the right place to taste the wonderful gastronomy of Rossini's land.

Restaurant "PÁTEO VELHO" offers Portuguese cuisine.
You will be impressed by the à la carte service in a typically Portuguese atmosphere, where you can try the delicious fresh fish and meat, grilled to a turn. The Páteo Velho has its own terrace, perfect for moonlit dinners, which seats 30 guests and a dining room for another 30 persons. Opening hours: 19.30h to 22.00h (dinner).

In the heart of the Tivoli Lagos, the lobby bar enjoys plenty of natural light, and offers direct access to the gardens, swimming pool and the Lacóbriga restaurant - it is the ideal meeting point. The live music in the evenings makes the perfect setting for your favourite drink, which you can enjoy in these lively and relaxed surroundings.

POOL BAR
A favourite place for a refreshing glass of white wine, or a light lunch, after some laps in the swimming pool and some serious sunbathing.

LAGOS
Lagos used to be the capital of the southern part of the Iberian Peninsula, and was the last port before the Portuguese caravelas set off for their long sea journeys, during the Great Discoveries of the 16th century. The old Twon, the Governor's Palace and the old Slaves' Market are attractions not to be missed. Other places of interest are: the Museu Regional, the Pau da Bandeira Fort. The Lagos Marina is the 1st stop over for boats coming in from Western Europe to the Algarve, and is thus much sought after on the way in and out of the Algarve by sea.
Do not miss a trip to the Ponta da Piedade caves. From the Marina de Lagos to the Forte Ponta da Bandeira, you will come across any number of fishermen who will be glad to take you on an unforgettable boat trip.

Driving from Faro Airport to Lagos:

Take the EN 125 direction Portimão /Lagos.
After ca. 5km, exit the EN 125 and take the A 22 (IP1) slip road in the direction of Lisboa/ Portimão/ Albufeira (just after the "Espanha" slip road).
Stay on this motorway (A 22) for about 70km until you see a sign for Lagos Este (EN 125). Take this exit (nr. 2) and you will drive to the east way of Lagos. After ca. 1.5km, you will find a roundabout; turn right first until you get the national road EN 125 to Lagos.
Once on the EN 125, drive straight ahead until you reach the entrance to the town of Lagos where you will cross a bridge, quickly followed by a roundabout. Take the 3rd turning (centre), and proceed to a second roundabout with a fountain. Go straight across this roundabout (3rd turning) just ahead until another roundabout; proceed on the second turning with the marina at your left. Go straight ahead (for some 400m) and turn at your second right (immediately after Banco Espirito Santo). The hotel is some 80m ahead. Look for the signs.

Driving from Lisbon.

Take the A2 (motorway) to the Algarve and follow Portimão/ Lagos direction on A22. After Portimão proceed to Lagos on same A22. Take exit 2 to Odiaxere, Lagos Este (EN 125).

After more or less 1.5km you will find a roundabout, turn at your first right to Lagos and drive straight ahead until you reach the entrance to the town of Lagos where you will cross a bridge, quickly followed by a roundabout. Take the 3rd turning (centre), and proceed to a second roundabout with a fountain.

Go straight across this roundabout (3rd turning) just ahead until another roundabout; proceed on the second turning with the marina at your left. Go straight ahead (for some 400m) and turn at your 2nd right (immediately after Banco Espirito Santo). The hotel is some 80m ahead. Look for the signs.
