Rooms are basic but comfortable. There are two types of rooms, some with private bathrooms and some with shared bathrooms. Some rooms have beautiful views over the river and old city.

Overnight stays include Dutch breakfast in the breakfast room, which is decorated with fine tiles.

From Coimbra there are several short trips to make, by car or public transport.

Paul Arzila (7 km) - The natural park and wetlands is a worthwhile sight for those who like quietness, birds and nature.

Conimbriga (20 km) - The ancient Roman city.

Forest and Palace of Busaco (40 km) - Famous local areas.

It is also possible to take the train to Lousa. Visit on Wednesday for the market of Miranda do Corvo. Continue by train and enjoy a walking tour into the mountains of Lousa.

For beach lovers there is not only Figueira da Foz (45 km) or Mira (50 km) and Aveiro beach (75 km), but also the river-beach of Coimbra, toward Penacova (10 km).

By Taxi:
- Take a taxi from the station for around EUR 5, as Casa Pombal has a hill top location.

By Car:
- Follow the signs for Centro and Praça da Republica till you come to a large avenue (Sa da Bandeira).
- At that avenue, turn into Padre Antonio Vieira.
- At the top of that road (before a sharp curve to the left) park your car around there.
- Then walk into the Rua da Matematica and at the bottom you will find Rua das Flores.
