It is within a few kms from Beja, 4 km from the Zona Ambiental Vale Gonçalinho LPN (Environmental Area Vale Gonçalinho LPN), 30 km from Mertola, 20 km from the Parque Arqueológico do Castro da Cola (Arqueological Park of Castro of Cola). It is possible to fish and hunt. Good pedestrian roads. In Castro Verde there is Basílica Real (Roya Basilic) and Museu de Tesouro Real (Royal Treasure Museum).
