Close to Praia do Carvoeiro, on the cliff of Albandeira beach, is the location of Suites Alba Resort & Spa, aprox. 40 minutes from Faro airport. The resort comprises 47 Family Suites, with 2 bed-rooms and the 3 Ocean Suites with 1 bed-room. The Suites (about 100m2) are immaculately furnished in classical style and decorated in soft Mediterranean tones, each with living and dining room, balcony or terrace, wooden floor, kitchenette and a beautifully designed bathroom. Further details include fireplace, air-conditioning, flat screen TVs, DVD system, luxury bedding with fine cotton and soft down quilts.

The facilities at the resort include an informal restaurant with a Portuguese and Mediterranean influenced menu (Morgadinho).
The wine cellar (Catedral dos Vinhos), with a vast selection of Portuguese and foreign wines, offers wine tasting and special organised gourmet meals. At the reception the Ruby Bar is open all day and the Safira Bar supports the Spa. For an ultimate in-room dining experience a chef à la carte service is available.

This resort, set on top of the hill by Albandeira beach, occupies an area of about 40,000 m². To the east is Praia do Carvoeiro, an area with rich vegetation which is considered among the best of the whole Algarve region, despite being just 50 minutes from Faro Airport.

From Lisbon:
Follow the highway A1 in direction of Algarve. At the crossing with A22, follow the direction of Portimão until Alcantarilha where you exit the highway. At the traffic circle, continue in the direction of Portimão/Lagoa on the road EN 125. Pass by Porches until the International School of the Algarve (+/- 6 Km), pass the traffic lights and continue in the direction of Caramujeira and Praia da Marinha (NB: at the second traffic lights by the International School, it is necessary to do a U turn back in the direction that you came from), turn right in the direction of Caramujeira. The road will reach another traffic circle where you follow the direction of Albandeira. Follow the road in the direction of the coast (2 Km) until you encounter on the right hand side the Resort.

From Faro Airport:
Two possible accesses are possible from Faro airport; the A22 highway or the EN 125. We recommend the A22 highway.
By the A22 highway: Follow the A22 highway in direction of Portimão until Alcantarilha where you exit the highway. At the traffic circle, continue in the direction of Portimão/Lagoa on the road EN 125. Pass by Porches until the International School of the Algarve (+/- 6 Km), pass the traffic lights and continue in the direction of Caramujeira and praia da Marinha (NB at the traffic lights by the International School, it is necessary to do a U turn back in the direction that you came from), turn right in the direction of Caramujeira. The road will reach another traffic circle where you follow the direction of Albandeira. Follow the road in the direction of the coast (2Km) until you encounter on the right hand side the Resort.

By the EN 125: Leave Faro on the EN 125 in the direction of Portimão. Pass by Alcantarilha, Porches until the International School of the Algarve (+/- 60 Km). At the second traffic lights by the school, it is necessary to do a U turn back in the direction that you came), turn right in the direction of Caramujeira and praia da Marinha. The road will reach a traffic circle where you follow the direction of Albandeira. Follow the road in the direction of the coast (2 Km) until you encounter on the right hand side the Resort.
