Travel information
By Car (from Salamanca):
- Pousada de Almeida stays is one hour from Salamanca.
- When you arrive at Salamanca, follow the signs for Ciudad Rodrigo - Portugal.
- When you cross the Vilar Formoso border, pass the first roundabout and turn off on the first right for Almeida.
- 15 km later you will find Almeida with its wonderful walls.
- Follow the signs to the Pousada.
By Car (from Lisbon / Castelo Branco):
- Always take the A 23 motorway until Guarda.
- Exit to motorway A25. Follow the directions to Spain and 10 km later, turn to your right for Pinhel, Sabugal and Almeida - highway exit 32.
By Car (from Oporto):
- Follow the A25 motorway to Vilar Formoso.
- Follow the signs to Almeida and you will find the Pousada.
- Pousada de Almeida stays is one hour from Salamanca.

| Cancellation Policy: | Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later, the first night will be charged. In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children from 0 to 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children from 2 to 12 years are charged 15 % of the room stay per night and person for extra beds. One older child or adult is charged 30 % of the room stay per night and person in an extra bed. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Service charge is included. City/tourist tax is not applicable. Internet: No internet access available. Meal Plan: Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. Parking: Free public parking is possible on site. Pets: Pets are not allowed.
