The most interesting local attraction is the well preserved 19th century Boyen Fortress, an example of military architecture, successfully restored and made accessible for tourists.

By car (from Kaliningrad):
- Follow the A196 south for Pravdinsk.
- Continue, following signs for Wegorzewo and then Giżycko.

By prior arrangement and for an additional charge (payable in advance), the hotel can arrange car transfers from Warszawa and Gdańsk.
