Valhall is a hotel resort situated on the island of Krøttøy and offers the chance to enjoy dramatic windswept coastline and breathtaking views. Take the opportunity to watch seals, whales and bird life in their natural environment.

Valhall Hotel & Resort occupies a newly renovated building that used to be part of a coastal military fort. The 12 double rooms, all of which have private bathroom facilities, and four family rooms have bunks and sleep up to five people and share a large communal bathroom.

This adventure centre is a resort that offers a wide range of nature based experiences in the world's northernmost archipelago. The area is very popular with bird watchers. Remember to take the opportunity to rent a boat, do some deep sea rafting, deep sea fishing or just relax on one of the many sandy white beaches.

Krøttøy is a unique location for observing the Northern Lights. Very little light is emitted from the surrounding environment, which creates ideal conditions for observing the stars and Northern Lights.

The elegantly designed rooms are suitable for 1 to 5 people and all rooms enjoy breathtaking views over the sea and fjords.

All rooms are provided with towels and linen.

Specially designed for this Arctic location our rooms integrate Viking and rustic style in an elegant manner.

The leather sofa and coffee table offer the chance to sit back and take in the extraordinary and unique views.

The in house restaurant offers daily specials of fish, wild meat and beef, providing the opportunity to enjoy a taste of the elegance of Arctic cuisine.

In the bar guests can enjoy the bright summer nights and during winter the aurora lights.

Evenes, Harstad and Narvik Airports are only 60 km from the island. Harstad Marina is only 30 minutes by sea and every day several boats depart for Valhall.

You will be contacted by hotel staff prior to your arrival to make arrangements for pick up.

Transport by boat from Harstad Marina (Port) to Valhall on the Island of Krøttøy, is included in the room price if you book a minimum of 5 nights.

We can still arrange a pick-up service for those bookings of less than 5 nights however this will be at an additional cost.

There are also several Hurtigruten Express Boats that depart from Harstad to Krøttøy and from Tromsø to Harstad daily.
