Today, Geilo is one of the best developed skiing centres in Northern Europe. Choose from 20 lifts and 39 slopes in the downhill areas, 3 snowboard parks and 500 km of prepared cross-country trails. The closest ski hire centre and ski school are just 350 metres from the hotel.
Other activities include dogsled driving, ice fishing, snow scooter safaris, sleigh rides, ice track driving, and tobogganing.
There are kilometres of mountain roads and downhill tracks, as well as Norway’s best known cycle path Rallarvegen. Hardangervidda is where you can experience the glory of the natural wilderness of Northern Europe’s largest mountain plateau.
Other activities include riding, indoor swimming centres, go-carts, rally driving, rafting, hunting and fishing, and visiting churches and interesting museums.

By train:
Travel comfortably and efficiently to Geilo on the Bergen Railway. Approximately 3 hours travel from Bergen and 3½ hours from Oslo. The train arrives and departs 5-6 times each day.
By Road:
The shortest drive from Oslo to Bergen is on Rv 7, and half way between the two is Geilo. Rv 7 over Hardangervidda and along the Hardanger Fjord is a national tourist route. Rv 7 is part of the tourist project and is dotted with tourist information boards and resting areas.
From Geilo, Rv 40 travels through the Numedal valley to Larvik, Sandefjord and Tønsberg.

If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 75 percent of the first night will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. One child under 2 years is charged NOK 100 per night and person in a baby cot. Up to three children from 4 to 15 years are charged 50 % of the room stay per night per person for extra beds.
