The hotel is located 300 metres from the centre of the resort town of Valkenburg and close to Maastricht, Aachen and Liege; within half an hour of the borders of Germany and Belgium. You will experience why the Dutch call this region Little Switzerland.

The hotel offers it's own wellness centre "het Badhuis" with a 17 metre indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, steam bath, beauty salon, solarium and fully equipped fitness room.

Our lounges are the perfect spot to meet for drinks and chat for hours. The restaurant offers fine and affordable menus of Dutch-French cuisine and excellent wines. The garden terrace and the winter garden provide a touch with nature all year round.

Business facilities and meeting rooms are available, as well as internet and wireless internet in restaurants and on the terraces.

Although the hotel is not typically a childrens' hotel, children are welcome at the Parkhotel and you will experience a friendly and accommodating service for your well behaved youngster. Some hotel facilities require that children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult (Badhuis Rooding). A special menu for the children is also available.

No two rooms are the same in this historic and well-maintained hotel. The individual furnishing of every room, as well as the idyllic location and size, offer fascinating variety. The unique garden setting in different heights will pleasantly surprise you. A limited number of non-smoking rooms are available. All of our 96 rooms have bath or shower, toilet, colour TV, radio, minisafe, hairdryer and direct dial telephone. Of course, there is also a lift, which will take you to all floors, as well as the "Badhuis Rooding".

Dine at your leisure and with comfort in our restaurant. A fine choice of affordable wines and excellent meals, as well as the friendly service, honour the burgundy reputation of this Dutch province.

On our unique winter garden 'panorama terrace' with the comfortable seats, you will want to spend many hours in good company of holiday friends or business colleagues.

From Monday to Friday, the breakfast will be served between 07:30 and 09:30. On Saturday and Sunday, the breakfast will be served between 08:00 until 10:00.

Our restaurant is open every day for lunch between 12:00 and 14:00.

You can order delicious meals from a small menu throughout the day. A more extensive menu is available in the evening. You can place your dinner order between 18:00 and 21:30.

This hilly part of the Netherlands is an ideal location for your holiday or weekend getaway. It offers beautiful nature scenes, clean air, century old churches and castles.

Four 18-hole golf courses are within 3 km of the hotel, while horseback riding, cycling, swimming, gambling at the Valkenburg Holland Casino and the modern health spa and beauty centre Thermae 2000 are also available in the direct vicinity.

Cities in the German Eiffel, the Belgian Ardennes and even Paris are reachable as a day trip from the hotel. Maastricht offers fascinating shopping, dining and sightseeing at about 10 km away. You can even ski or snowboard all year round in Europe's largest indoor ski hall. Visit the World Theme Park or the brand new Zoo Gaia Park in Kerkrade, which is a 20 minute car ride away from the hotel.

In Valkenburg follow the traffic signs EAST (OOST) to SCHIN-OP-GEUL and VAALS (do NOT take the CENTRUM turnoff). You drive straight ahead and take a LEFT turn at the Atlanta Hotel. You will see the Parkhotel Rooding on your right hand side after 250m. Drive untill you passed it and go up the main driveway to the hotel parking and reception area.
