Villa De Duinen

Restaurant Hotel Villa de Duinen is a beautifully restored Villa that was built in 1902. After thoroughgoing renovations it has been fitted out with all modern conveniences while the original building style has been preserved where possible. The five rooms and four suites have been designed in a tasteful style, they are all of different sizes and have large balconies. Only twenty minutes drive from Amsterdam/Schiphol Airport and close to The Hague, Leiden and Rotterdam with their many cultural attractions. Our well known restaurant seats about 55 people, and there is also a conference-dining room which holds about 35 people for dinner or 20 people for meetings. Villa de Duinen has a view of the five star hotel 'Huis ter Duin' and the sea. The Villa is only a five minutes walk away from the sea, the dunes, the boulevard and the attractive centre of Noordwijk.

The nine rooms of De Villa are all different. Four luxurious rooms, one big room and four suites (with separate sitting room and bedroom). The hotel has an elevator. All rooms have a balcony, luxuriously furnished bathrooms with shower and/or bath, internet connection and a safe for your laptop and other valuables.

The rooms at the front/westside have a beautiful view at the five star hotels Huis ter Duin and the beach. A few rooms have a view of the sea. The rooms at the eastside of the hotel look out over villa residences in a quiet area.

In our conference/dining room it is possible to have dinner with groups of 8 to 25 people. It is also possible to reserve this room for presentations, meetings or small receptions.

Lunch starts at 12 noon (not available on Saturdays and Sundays). In addition to the full a la carte lunch menu, The Villa has a 2 course or 3 course lunch.

Dinner is from 5.30 p.m. Our enthusiastic kitchen team transforms meat, poultry and fish into exquisite dishes that please both the eye and the palate. The cuisine of The Villa is based on the classical kitchen with a French Mediterranean touch.

Not withstanding the quiet location it takes only a five minute stroll to the beach and the dunes, and the enjoyable (entertainment) centre of Noordwijk.

Coming from Amsterdam/Utrecht

· Follow the A4, pass by Schiphol Airport
· At the split in the road (after the bridge restaurant and gas station) take direction Leiden West/ Den Haag Centrum (A44)
· Exit 6 Noordwijk – Voorhout – Oegstgeest Noord
· Turn right direction Voorhout – Noordwijk
· Go straight at the traffic lights Voorhout,
· Turn left (Gooweg/Herenweg) at the traffic lights Noordwijk (Zilveren Kruis),
· Turn right at second round about (Beeklaan, direction zee = sea)
· Follow Beeklaan direction zee, name changes to Oude Zeeweg
· Pass the statue (woman) at your left, turn right, you’ll see Villa de Duinen at your right, parking facilities beside the entrance.

Coming from Rotterdam / Den Haag

· From Rotterdam via Prins Clausplein and Utrechtse Baan
· End of Utrechtse Baan turn right at the traffic lights direction Wassenaar (A44)
· At Wassenaar straight on direction Leiden
· Exit 8: Leiden, Valkenburg, Katwijk, Noordwijk, Transferium ( N206)
· After Katwijk turn-off Noordwijk
· At round about go straight on direction zee=sea (Beeklaan)
· Follow Beeklaan direction zee, name changes to Oude Zeeweg
· Pass the statue (woman) at your left, turn right, you’ll see Villa de Duinen at your right, parking facilities beside the entrance.
