Varför inte ge dig ut på en cykel- eller vandringstur bland de unika dynerna som omger hotellet, insupa frisk luft på stranden Noordzeestrand (6 km) eller besöka ett av alla gallerier i konstnärsbyn Bergen. Ett måste är ett besök i Nederländernas oststad Alkmaar (8 km), med sina vackra historiska byggnader.

Blooming hotel offers 92 twin design rooms. You can clearly recognise the hand of a stylist in these tastefully furnished room. Many items of design furniture and original accents turn the room into an experience in itself.

One of the design rooms are suited for disabled guests.

Blooming has several excellent restaurants where you may enjoy culinary surprises. The extensive menu changes regularly and is characterised by regional products as well as delicacies from afar.

Dining a la carte is regularly replaced by a ” theme” buffet. If the weather allows the buffets are served on one of our terraces or in the recreational sun-bathing area. The buffets you can expect will be on a variety of themes, from a sizzling paella evening to a wok adventure, or perhaps something completely different.

In the proximity of blooming there is a lot on offer. As a matter of course there is nature – blooming is situated in woods and dunes. The beach and the sea are a bit further, but still delightfully close. The cultural background of Bergen is exceptionally rich. The arty village boasts of many galleries and exceptional museums. Visit an exhibition, walk through the streets of Alkmaar or take a nice walk along the beach and dunes. Just hanging around is obviously also possible.

By car

Travelling from Amsterdam/Haarlem (A9 motorway), take the Ring Alkmaar (Alkmaar circular road) and follow the signs for Den Helder. Take exit Bergen.
In Bergen Village follow the signs to Schoorl. Just before the boundary with Schoorl village you will see the entrance to Blooming on the left-hand side of the road.

By public transport

There are excellent connections to Alkmaar railway station. Alkmaar can be reached within 45 minutes from both Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport. The last few kilometres can best be travelled by taxi. For cheap taxi fares take a so-called 'Treintaxi', which you can obtain at the station ticket window if you can show a valid train ticket.
