Hotel De Hoofdige Boer (Stubborn Farmer) situated in the rural countryside of the Netherlands (Eastern part) welcomes hotelguests for 3 generations in the Holtslag family. It is an independent "modern" hotel with very unique surroundings. You will find an atmosphere of which you had thought it did not exist anymore. Nice rooms, friendly staff and we are proud of our kitchen as well as all the other facts that will make your stay in our hotel memorable. We are looking forward to welcome you!

The menu at De Hoofdige Boer varies per season and, with his crew, the chef manages time after time to come up with an innovative menu of appetising dishes. The pleasant ambiance and the friendly hosts are sure to make your evening a pleasant one.
If the weather allows it, you can dine undisturbed on our splendid garden terrace. The hotel terrace faces south and enjoys a view of the Berkel valley. On the other side of the building there is a 19th century tea garden, which is a household word for many hikers and cyclists from the neighbourhood. The tea garden offers an extra dimension to intervals along one of the many magnificent routes of the surroundings.

By train you'll travel towards station Zutphen. From there you will find a bus (254) which brings you to the hotel. It stops right in front of the building. Unfortunately the bus does not drive on sunday's.
