This newly renovated country hotel is only 5-minute walk away from the beach of the Baltic Sea.

The Jūrnieka Ligzda (“Seaman’s Nest” in Latvian) offers ideal conditions for peaceful relaxation away from the noise of the city. It is 6 km south of Liepaja.

Originally built around 1880 as a small military office building for the fleet of Tsarist Russia, it was renovated and turned into small and elegant country hotel at the end of 2006.

The comfortable rooms are all individually designed and traditionally furnished.

The restaurant serves a wide range of Latvian and international dishes, including local fish specialities. The summer terrace is a great place to relax after a day at the beach.

A short walk through a pine wood takes you from the Jūrnieka Ligzda to this white sandy beach.

There are several outdoor sports fields located near the hotel (basketball, football, beach volleyball). The newest entertainment and sports facility is a small indoor ice rink, where ice skating is possible all year round.
