Eremo Madonna Delle Grazie

Eremo Madonna Delle Grazie is a hermitage founded by the Capuchin Friars in the 1500s. Just 10 minutes' drive from the ancient town of Avola, it offers view of the Cavagrande Canyon of Cassibile.

This historic property has been completely renovated and its original features have been beautifully preserved. Rooms are the ex cells of the Friars and feature arched ceilings and mosaic bathrooms.

A buffet breakfast is served in the breakfast room with terrace that overlooks the canyon. It includes local organic specialities, cold cuts, cheeses and hot and cold desserts.

Madonna Delle Grazie Hermitage has a TV and reading room and lots of terraces where you can relax. During summer, The Hermitage pizzeria is open in the courtyard.

Adjacent to the property you will find an 18tth-century church. Horse riding, snorkelling and scuba diving trips can all be arranged. The nearest beach is 10 km away in Lido di Avola, while Siracusa is 35 minutes away by car.
